Notes
According to media reports, the European Commission is considering to reinstate anti-subsidy duties on imports of biodiesel from Argentina, citing an imminent threat of material injury caused to the EU’s biodiesel industry (see also MPPU Oct.’18). Reportedly, retaliatory duties could range from 25 percent to 33, depending on the company concerned. The move would require approval by the bloc’s member states. The deadline for introducing definitive measures is 27 February 2019.
