Description
Introduced definitive anti-subsidy duties ranging from 25 percent to 33 percent on imports of biodiesel from Argentina, while agreeing to exempt selected Argentine producers who undertook to sell biodiesel at a set minimum price.
Notes
On 13 February, the European Commission introduced definitive anti-subsidy duties ranging from 25 to 33 percent on imports of biodiesel from Argentina (see also MPPU Dec.’18). At the same time, the Commission agreed to exempt eight Argentine producers that have undertaken to sell their biodiesel at set minimum prices. The floor price will be linked to average monthly soybean quotations. Supposedly, the undertakings cancel out the alleged unfair advantages Argentine exporters used to enjoy over European producers.
