Description
Published draft minimum amounts of renewable fuels that would need to be supplied to the market in 2020, as well as draft blending obligations for biomass-based biodiesel in 2021.

In July, the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) published draft minimum amounts of renewable fuels that would need to be supplied to the market in 2020 as well as draft blending obligations for biomass-based biodiesel in 2021. For biomass-based diesel, EPA proposed to leave the 2021 requirement unchanged from 2020, i.e. at 2.43 billion gallons, while for the advanced biofuel category, under which biodiesel also qualifies, a volume of 5.04 billion gallons was proposed for 2020, up slightly from the current years 4.92 billion gallons. EPAs deadline for finalizing the volume obligations is 30 November 2019.
