Description
Announced details of the government budgetary allocation of USD 875 million, part of Japans COVID-19 supplementary budget, to the Agriculture and Livestock Industries Corporation (ALIC), a state-trading enterprise. USD 46 million were allocated to support the use of domestic milk powder, with recipients defined as agricultural cooperatives and dairy companies that divert milk powder to feed use or to replace imports of prepared dairy products.
