The French Parliament voted on environmental grounds in favour of removing tax breaks for palm oil used as biodiesel feedstock.
Notes
FRANCE palm oil taxation: As part of the 2020 budget debate, the French Parliament voted in favour of removing tax breaks for palm oil used as biodiesel feedstock, thus rejecting a Government-backed proposal to delay the withdrawal of the tax advantages until 2026. The removal had originally been agreed under Frances 2019 budget (see MPPU Jan.19).
