Description
Raised the nationwide mandatory biodiesel blending rate from 20 percent to 30 percent and announced plans to increase the blending rate further to 40 percent between 2021 and 2022 – adding that road test using 40 percent blends would be conducted during 2020 and that technical studies on mixing palm oil-based fuel with aviation were planned.

INDONESIA – biofuel policy: The Government confirmed that – following the successful launch of mandatory B30 transport diesel (i.e. diesel blends including 30 percent of palm-oil-based diesel) in January 2020 – road test with 40 percent blends would start in April. The newly introduced B30 requirement is expected to raise the fuel industry’s annual uptake of palm oil to 8.5 million tonnes.
