Description
Suspended, until mid-July, imports of certain non-essential goods, including oilcrop flours/meals and selected edible oils, to counter the economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis. At the same time, commercial banks were directed to facilitate imports of certain commodities, including palm, safflower and cottonseed oil.

SRI LANKA – import restriction (COVID-19 related, temporary measures): The Government suspended, from 16 April to 15 July, imports of certain non-essential goods to counter the economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis. Products concerned include oilcrop flours and meals and selected oils. At the same time, commercial banks were directed to facilitate imports of certain commodities, including palm, safflowerseed and cottonseed oil.
