Description
Planned to introduce, from 1 June 2020, zero-tolerance for residues of two agrochemicals in food ingredients and food products, while the use of glyphosate would continue to be allowed, subject to special permission and restrictions.
Notes
THAILAND – pesticide regulation: The Thai Government plans to introduce, from 1 June 2020, zero-tolerance for residues of two agro-chemicals, paraquat and chlorpyrifos, in food ingredients and food products. The new requirement would apply to production, possession, importation and exportation. The use of glyphosate, on the other hand, continues to be allowed, although it remains subject to permission and several restrictions will continue to apply to its use in crop cultivation.
