Description
Introduced a new classification of animals and poultry birds for human consumption, with provisions for banning illegal trading in wild animals. Formation of the list of animals deemed suitable for human consumption is based on several principles: 1) long period of domestication; 2) requirements under food security, safety, public health and ecosystem sustainability; and 3) compliance with international conventions.
