Description
Announced details of the government budgetary allocation of USD 875 million, part of Japans COVID-19 supplementary budget, to the Agriculture and Livestock Industries Corporation (ALIC), a state-trading enterprise. The funding for the meat sector will be allocated under three programmes: 1) support for Wagyu Storage and Sales; 2) support for Beef Calf Operators; and 3) support to stabilize demand and supply of cattle/swine hides.
