Offered financial assistance and other support measures to olive oil producers affected by pest outbreaks and bad weather.
Notes
In France, where production dropped by 60 percent last year as a result of a pest outbreak and bad weather, olive oil producers will benefit from financial assistance and other measures. Reportedly, the government will offer the following support measures to olive producers: social payment exemptions; interest payment deferrals; tax reimbursements; and facilitated access to loans. Furthermore, assistance will be provided to a national producer federation for technical activities to prevent, control and eradicate the concerned pest.
