Preparedness and Response

The outcome required from Preparedness and Response activities in the project is to Strengthen National Preparedness and response (P&R) to events of Public Health Significance.

This was planned to be implemented through updating AI control and livelihood sustainability strategy as the base for all preparedness and control action then develop a timely action plan and SOPS for actions.

During this year, a field assessment for preparedness and response activities at the field level was conducted in 17 governorates. Results showed weakening of the capacity and dilution of knowledge in HPAI control activities. Accordingly, a plan for refresh training of field personnel on preparedness and response was developed to cover 20 governorates. A number of two TOT for GOVS personnel was conducted to leverage their capacity in conducting the training at field level.

Up to now, Six P&R workshops covering ten governorates have been implemented and a number of another four was planned to be implemented up to end of October to target the remaining selected governorates.
