The challenges of educating rural people in Africa were presented by the ERP partnership coordinator during the workshop “Development and Food Security in Africa” on 3 June 2008, in Florence.

The outputs of the research and capacity development activities focusing on Africa carried out under the FAO/ERP partnership were shared by students, teachers, researchers, NGOs and the wider public attending the meeting.

The event was organized to celebrate the Rome Food Security Summit, taking place during the first week of June, by the University of Pavia, Department of Political Science together with the cultural association “Vie Nuove” of Florence.
