1st Series of National workshop Tunisia (CIRAD LoA)

As part of the EuFMD workplan, the EuFMD in collaboration with CIRAD are proposing a series of three virtual workshops “National Workshops with 3 Pilot countries” for Tunisia, Egypt and IR of Iran with members of the Veterinary Services and representatives of relevant organisms involved in the livestock production (agricultural ministry, farmer associations, traders).

The virtual workshops for Tunisia will be held in 3 sessions on 14 June, 13 September and 19 October 2021 of 3 hours each. 

The information collected during the first and second workshop will be analyzed by CIRAD researchers to elucidate the structure of the production chain and its role in determining the mobility pattern.

The objectives of this virtual workshop are to:

  • Collection of information on national and international animal mobility and drivers thereof;
  • Identification of main drivers of animal mobility, modelling and prediction of national and regional animal mobility patterns affecting transboundary animal disease circulation.

Session 1: Reconstruct the national  for cattle and small ruminants value chain , identify its actors and “locate” premises at country level - Monday, 14 June 2021 from 10 am to 13 pm CET.

The first workshop objective is to describe the flows from producer to consumers, the intermediate steps and actors, the type of production (industrial, familial) and products/commodities (sold alive or processed).
