Virtual Training Wildlife Surveillance - Week Four

This week the focus will be on discussing emergent diseases, non-invasive surveillance methods and control options for outbreaks of FAST diseases.

During the sessions, you will have the opportunity to share your own country experiences and discuss with the trainer and your peers.

Participants will also be able to put in practice the knowledge acquired by taking part in a case scenario (group activity).

After completing this week's course activities participants will be able to:

• Assess the feasibility of implementing invasive and non-invasive sampling techniques for the surveillance of FMD and other TADs in wild boar;

• Use appropriate biosecurity measures when handling a suspected case of FMD and other TADs in wild boar;

• Collect appropriate samples in case of suspecting FMD and other TADs in wild boar.
