Since 2018, a training programme on spatial qualitative risk assessment has been delivered to the European neighbourhood by CIRAD and EuFMD. This meeting to wrap-up the training cycle achievements and envisage follow-up actions in 2022, considering challenges and opportunities associated with virtual learning.  

The objectives of the meeting :

• present at regional-level the most up-to-date FAST risk maps produced (national and regional maps) and discuss their calibration (regional map) and validation (national map);
• raise awareness on a collaborative platform to share risk information (particularly relevant for ME);
• assess the progression of national Services in risk mapping capacities and understanding of live animal mobility since 2018;
• discuss with countries and regional partners the way forward for continued support to countries in risk assessment and risk mapping activities.   

The expected impact are: improved visibility of training outputs, improved networking and collaboration with technical partners and improved modalities for risk assessment and risk mapping support activities in 2022.
