This online course is open for 4 weeks, during which participants must complete approximately 12-15 hours of selfdirected study. There will be a one-hour webinar at the beginning and end of the course, and EuFMD expert trainers are available via an online discussion forum to ask and answer questions.

Topics covered are:

• Clinical and laboratory diagnosis of FMD;

• Lesion ageing;

• Outbreak investigation and epidemiology;

• Biosecurity;

• Overview of control measures for FMD.

This is a useful tool in raising awareness of FMD and the importance of early detection amongst a wider group of practitioners and is particularly suitable for field level government and private veterinarians.
