In line with the new work plan and the HOLD-FAST strategy, EuFMD organized a Thrace Surveillance Program Online Meeting.

The Thrace region of Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey has historically been a high-risk area for the introduction of FMD and other trans-boundaries diseases into Europe. 

The key objectives of the meeting are:  

• to share information on the surveillance activities carried out in Thrace by Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey since the last Management meeting held online last July2021; 
• to agree on the upcoming activities as required. 

This meeting will precede the South Eastern Europe (SEE) Management meeting (15 February 2022) with all the SEE countries.
