In line with the EuFMD workplan for the HOLD – FAST strategy and the EC funded Phase V agreement (2019-2023), the EuFMD organized an online South Eastern European Management Meeting.

The EuFMD Components 1.3. Thrace and 1.4. Balkans of Phase IV have been merged into the new component 1.4 (SEE) of Phase V as sharing the current experiences between the two components is beneficial for all the region. Activities in this component are specifically provided to the following ten countries: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Moldova and Ukraine.

Key objectives of the South Eastern Europe regional management meeting are to:

• present progress done in the implementation of EuFMD Phase V work plan for the South Eastern Europe region during the last six months;
• agree on additional areas of interest where further support is required to improve emergency preparedness and coordination across the region until the end of the current biennium;
• discuss needs and priorities for the next biennium.
