This Project will fall in line under the larger collaboration between World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and others in the Global Partnership Working Group (GPWG) on the “Building Resilience Against Agro-crime and Agro-terrorism” initiative funded by Global Affairs Canada.

The Phoenix Exercise will represent the culmination of the effort and will deliver a globally relevant, international exercise occurring simultaneously in multiple regions of the world, specifically North Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

The EuFMD will be the lead organization for the Exercise Phoenix, and the Institute for Infectious Animal Diseases (IIAD) will be a technical partner to EuFMD to provide highly specialized support to exercise direction through its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) facilities.
