Within the context of the project Sustainable Business through Training for Veterinary Paraprofessionals, an introductory training session on gender and livestock will be held on the 30th of June. 

The session will be delivered virtually and will take place from 9:30am to 12:00pm Rome time (7:30/10 am Ghana time). 

The training session will aim to: 

• introduce gender equality concepts in the context of the agriculture sector and rural development; 
• discuss the main gender dynamics in the agriculture and rural sector as well as the livestock sector, building on participants’ knowledge and experience; 
• identify gender issues in livestock management, including how they affect the roles and needs of female and male livestock owners;
• look at how gender dynamics in the sector impact livestock health management.
