As a part of the EuFMD workplan 2019-2023 to enhance co-ordination with GF-TADs partners, international agencies, and improve implementation of strategic plans for FAST control at the national and regional level, the EuFMD is proposing to organize an online Coordination meeting between EuFMD and sub-regional offices of FAO and WOAH in the Middle East on Wednesday, 17 August 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm CEST (Rome time). This online meeting is aiming at improving the harmonization of the activities implemented in the region.

The meeting objectives are:

• update on the past, ongoing and planned main activities in the Middle East region on FAST diseases (FMD and similar transboundary animal diseases); 
• identify activities of common interest and potential synergies.
