The meeting will be held in hybrid format: online and at FAO Headquarters.

The draft agenda would include 

• Prioritization of FAST threatening Europe; 
• Improve passive surveillance and early warning;
• Preparedness of laboratories in Europe;
• How to improve bio-threat research networks.

The meeting objective is to provide a forum for the SCSAR committee to discuss and provide guidance to the Commission in the following areas:

• Diagnostic capacity to respond to crisisand mechanisms for scaling up resources;
• Implementation of integrated surveillance in high risk locationsof Member nations and neighbourhood;
• FAST Applied research results and research networks;
• Enhanced confidence in risk information and risk monitoring tools;
• FAST prioritization according to risk.
