This workshop focuses on vaccine demand and supply as well as vaccine value chain and how the FAST diseases vaccines are distributed and delivered to end users. Particular attention will be given to the gap between the demand and supply, cost of vaccine supply and delivery along the value chain, as well as barriers to access quality vaccines and possible solutions.

Vaccine value chains

1. Introduce the topic of vaccine value chains to EuFMD vaccine security workstream.
2. Develop a working definition of “vaccine value chain”.
3. Prioritise / Identify between one and three top level strategic objectives for EuFMD’s vaccine value chain work. 

VADEMOS

1. Refine input parameters, output presentation and initiate validation of country/region-specific estimation of demand for FMD vaccines with external stakeholders.
2. Explore use for different diseases (PPR, LSD).
3. Identify key integration points of entry with other vaccine security and disease control activities such as value chain and EASOP.
