Greater control of FAST diseases in risk areas to reduce the spread of diseases and their impact on livestock sector.

In alignment with the objectives of the Progressive Control Pathway for Foot-and-Mouth Disease and the GF-TADS Global Strategy, Focus Objective 3 (FO3) is dedicated to enhancing the control of FMD and similar transboundary animal diseases in high-risk regions. This objective aims to minimize the transmission and mitigate the impacts of these diseases on the livestock sector, particularly in areas identified as priorities for the European region.

Under Focus Objective 3, the three Action Areas are:

• AA6 - FAST control
• AA7 - Vaccine security
