From Monday 27 January to Friday 31 January, the FAO Office of Evaluation will host a dynamic workshop, bringing together 30 experts from the Office of Evaluation, Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment, Monitoring and Evaluation teams from country offices, as well as academia.

As the first workshop of its kind, this event offers a unique opportunity to exchange insights, align evaluation strategies, and enhance the impact of Green Climate Fund evaluations.

Together, we will strengthen evidence-based decision-making at FAO and beyond, in line with FAO’s Evaluation Strategy.

  • Tuesday, 28 January, 14:00–15:00: Quasi-experimental methods for GCF impact evaluation: Examples and use cases for the Office of Evaluation - Dr. Clair Null, Senior Evaluation Officer, FAO Office of Evaluation
  • Thursday, 30 January, 14:00–15:00: Adoption of new agricultural technology and uncertainty about inputs quality - Dr. Salvatore di Falco, Professor of Economics and Vice Dean for Research, Geneva School of Economics and Management 

New to Headquarters?

Bring your documents (ID card or Passport) to enter FAO premises.  

You will need to enter through the Reception Pavilion (Visitors' Entrance), and from the check-in point collect your weekly pass. Please access the Reception Pavillon from the FAO entrance located in front of the exit of "Circo Massimo" metro station (Line B of underground line). Once inside the Reception Pavilion, head to the security desk on your right-hand side. Please provide your name and that of the meeting you are attending (GCF Workshop, organized by the Office of Evaluation).

The venue of the workshop is the Lebanon Room (Building D, 2nd Floor, room D209 bis and D277 bis).
