Recommendation Number: 3.6.2.d

Governments, non-governmental organizations, private sector and other relevant stakeholders should promote and increase access of women to time saving technologies(*1) that could help improve their livelihoods.

(*1) These include food preservation and processing equipment, cold storage, heat and thermal processing, grinding/blending devices, energy saving stoves, and modern farm equipment for ploughing, cultivating and harvesting nutritious crops/food and raising small ruminants and poultry.

The identified documents have been grouped into four categories: UN evidence-informed documents, UN normative guidance documents, UN operational/technical guidance documents and other documents that have been published by non-UN bodies.
