Highlights of the month

• New approvals in October: USD 52 million.

• In total, 19 resource partners contributed in the month of October.

• The top five resource partners in October were: the Mastercard Foundation (USD 11.2 million), the United Nations Population Fund (USD 10.9 million), the European Union (USD 5.2 million), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (USD 5.2 million) and the Government of Colombia (USD 4.1 million).

• The largest approved project in October was “Desert locust response to mitigate impacts on food security and livelihoods”, funded by the Mastercard Foundation for USD 11.2 million.

• The top ten contributors (excluding multilateral funds) have accounted for 65 percent of total voluntary contributions in 2021, while the top 20 resource partners have accounted for 80 percent of total approvals.
