With the new international target of 2030 for eliminating human hunger on Earth, three organizations in Hungary have come together to promote effective solutions to malnutrition and food insecurity.

Once again this year, the Hungarian Foodbank Associationhas partnered with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to produce today’s food truck convoy through central Budapest, transporting 30 tonnes of surplus and donated food for distribution to Hungarian families in need.

On the occasion of World Food Day (16 October), the two organizations were joined by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture for a press conference at the convoy’s midway point at Heroes Square.
