Between 2014 and 2020, the new CAP is going to invest more than EUR 2.5 billion in Latvia's farming sector and rural areas. Key political priorities have been defined at European level such as: jobs, sustainability, modernization, innovation and quality. In parallel, flexibility is given to Latvia to adapt both direct payments and rural development programmes to its specific needs.
