Small ruminants, such as sheep and goats, play a significant role in the global livestock sector, particularly within developing countries where they are critical for livelihoods and food security. Sheep and goats have a direct impact on the economy and well-being of the population. However, the presence of infectious diseases such as Peste des petits ruminants (PPR), threaten the viability of small ruminant production.
