This report covers IFAD achievements and impact in 2016, the first year of the implementation of the United Nations’ ambitious 2030 Agenda. During the year, IFAD stepped up its advocacy and knowledgesharing on smallholder agriculture and rural issues, taking a leadership role in international policy processes, including climate change negotiations, the first ever World Humanitarian Summit, the G20 agricultural ministerial process and the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development.
