Covid Response

Overview

In a state of crisis, there is a tipping point which either breaks us or transforms us. It's the difference between surviving and thriving. There is perhaps no other time in our recent history where we have had a collective need to move towards resilience. Resilience is a skill we can all cultivate, and it's a practice DIG has been focused on since we started in 2006.

DIG's farmers are often uniquely vulnerable: the elderly, chronically malnourished, sick, and disabled. Most are left out of opportunities others can access. DIG's role has always been to support them along their journey, so their ability to thrive is not based on access to markets, their level of education, or the conditions of their farmland. The ability to thrive is rooted deeper than that and DIG's role is to work collaboratively in removing the barriers to good nutrition, enabling our farmers to grow health and resilience.
