African Agroecological Entrepreneurship & Territorial Markets Convening

From May 24th to 26th, 2022, the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) has teamed with partners to host the first trailblazing three-day continental convening on AFRICAN AGROECOLOGICAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND TERRITORIAL MARKETS in Munyonyo, Uganda. Over 130 people in person and 80 virtual participants attended the event, which brought together actors from over 30 countries. The convening was the first of its kind, with the goal of bringing together agroecological and like-minded players to debate and define the future of agroecological entrepreneurship and territorial markets in Africa in order to boost investment and policy reforms. According to AFSA's study, a vigorous development of agroecological entrepreneurs is taking place throughout Africa, selling and distributing agroecological goods and inputs. The gathering attests to their size, energy, and significance. Fresh fruits and vegetables, grains and pulses, as well as value-added food items, biofertilizers, and biopesticides, are among these goods. Please visit our YouTube channel to learn more about the event, which includes a three-day summary, interviews, and presentations.
