Impact of the specific aid provided to cattle milk producers in the disadvantaged areas

The specific aid for the milk producers from the disadvantaged areas was granted between 2010 and 2014, according to the Government Decision no. 755/2010, Government Decision no. 296/2012, Government Decision no. 298/2014 and M.A.R.D. Order no. 573/2014, in accordance with the provisions of the article no. 68, paragraph (1), letter (b) of (EC) Regulation no. 73/2009. Specific objectives:

- maintaining the income of the beneficiaries at a level adequate to ensure a decent living standard in the disadvantaged areas;

- continuing the national tradition of breeding the species of buffaloes, dairy cows and meat heifers in order to ensure the premises for gross added value, especially by traditional production and provision of food on the proximity markets;

- preventing the tendency to reduce the herd of dairy buffalo cows, dairy cows and meat heifers in the disadvantaged areas;

- preventing the depreciation of the living standard in the disadvantaged areas and avoiding the abandonment of the rural establishments from these areas.
