Networking and Rural Youth Capacity Development at the Songhai Center in Benin
Key element to agriculture and rural development transformation in The Gambia
In order to face this development challenge, IFAD’s Livestock and Horticulture Development Project, focusing mainly on women (who are the main producers and managers of rice, vegetables and small ruminants) and the youth, aims to help small-scale rural producers to increase their incomes by improving the yield and quality of their horticultural and livestock products. It also assists young people through the establishment of pilot gardens and market-oriented small livestock and poultry production units.
