FAO Right to Food Newsletter, March 2021, Issue 8

March marked a year since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared. Its economic and social impacts have come on top of other existing global challenges. This is not solely a health crisis. Emerging issues during the COVID-19 pandemic show how important it is to prioritize the poorest in our societies and to adopt multi-sectoral approaches to contribute to less vulnerable, more-inclusive and sustainable food systems.
As the pandemic continues, human rights will continue to be as important as ever. This newsletter issue features CFS 47, consumer organizations, parliamentarians, agroecology, child labour and gender equality, among other issues.
