Market opportunities for artisanal and small-scale fisheries products for sustainability of the Mediterranean Sea Towards an Innovative Labelling Scheme
With consumers and in value chains, small-scale fisheries are struggling to get the recognition they deserve. LabMAF has detailed the factors contributing to the weak position of small-scale fishers in the markets and identified innovations that respond to existing challenges. By connecting existing various market initiatives and encouraging new ones to take place, we seek to contribute to sustainability in food systems, fisheries management and the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals.
