The Data in Emergencies (DIEM) Hub for evaluating multiple shock impacts on food security

Food crises are underpinned by a complex configuration of shocks stemming from climate change1, conflict and social unrest2, displacement and migration3, geopolitical pressures and economic conditions4. Building resilience against acute and protracted food crises5 requires an evidence-based strategy for programme design, policy formulation and optimizing investments. To meet this requirement, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations’ (FAO) Data in Emergencies (DIEM) Hub is a fully operational platform on which a portfolio of needed evidence may be developed.
