Cost-benefit analysis of using fish pots versus bottom set longlines in the Philippines based on field testing

This technology describes the testing of fish pots, a type of passive fishing gear that can be installed in the sea and harvested when sea conditions are not too dangerous, as compared to the use of bottom set longlines in the Philippines. Along with descriptions of the technology in comparison to local practices, the benefits and constraints compared to the traditional practice are shown in a cost-benefit analysis. This analysis includes added benefits, co-benefits, avoided losses, potential drawbacks, and general recommendations.
