Controlling intestinal Nematode infections in ruminants with naturally plants tannins
This practice describes how intestinal parasites can be fought through feeding livestock animals with plants highly condensed with tannins as alternative to anthelmintics, especially in areas of the tropics and subtropics. However, in many areas the provision of adequate levels of protein is particularly difficult because of the highly seasonal quality and quantity of fodder supply. An alternative option is the use of Urea-Molasses Blocks (UMB) as a dietary supplement.
