Partnerships for Learning
This issue of the BOABAB focuses on partnerships for learning: forging partnerships, expanding networks, including different stakeholders and meanwhile promoting sustainable agriculture. Not only do the partnerships prove important in farming matters but also in how people effected by HIV and AIDS are able to cope, improve their lives and learn about their rights. Partnerships for learning can be found with a successful goat farmer who shares his information with other interested farmers for example, or with Young Farmer Field Schools, which empower vulnerable youth. Both articles are based on experienced farmers who gained their knowledge through outreach programmes and passed it on to others. This way the network keeps extending and continues to reach more people.
