The guidelines for the Support and Promotion of Family Farming in the CPLP Member States were endorsed and approved in the 2nd Extraordinary Meeting of CONSAN-CPLP, held in June 2017 in Brasilia. They detail a set of common guidelines and priorities that aim to contribute to the recognition of family producers and the strengthening of sustainable agriculture, with the aim of fighting hunger and poverty and progressively establishing the Human Right to Adequate Food (HRAF) throughout the Community. They therefore constitute a commitment by the CPLP to building public policies in the area of Food Security and Nutrition and a contribution from the Community towards compliance with the main development goals set out under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.engl
