Reducing children’s exposure to the toxic pesticides used in farming is the aim of a visual training guide, now adapted for use in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, and translated to Russian language.

Developed by FAO and the International Labour Organization, the guide is a tool for a wide range of professionals engaged in agriculture, including extension workers, rural educators, labour inspectors, and producer organizations. They can use it as a tool to teach farming families and others how to identify and minimize the risks of pesticides – at home and on the farm.
