The Green Report delivers information on current conditions in agriculture and the food industry in Slovakia and around the world, changes over the past year in development, production and the market, the economic and financial situation facing enterprise, rural development, regional development and the standing of agriculture and the food industry in the economy of the Slovak Republic and among EU countries. Agriculture’s share in the Slovak economy in terms of gross value added has decreased. Preliminary data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic for 2014 indicate that gross agricultural production in current prices decreased year-on by 7.5% due to the decline in crop production by 3.3% as well as animal production by 12.9%.
