The video describes the impact of innovations on the lives of family farms in rural Kyrgyzstan through the UN project fostering cooperation in border regions with Uzbekistan. 58 women from Chek-Abad have formed a self-help group and received a greenhouse from FAO, where they grow Bulgarian peppers using high-quality seeds. The produce is used for family consumption and sold, generating significant income: 108,000 soms (1227 USD) last year. FAO also provided motor cultivators and a drip irrigation system, supporting agricultural development. A revolving fund helps women purchase seedlings and expand their business. These innovations not only increase income but also promote social integration and sustainable regional development.
