Medicinal plants to limit parasitism and pathogenic bacteria in pigs (PPILOW Practice Abstract)

The tool explains the use medicinal plants in alternative to antibiotics or allopathic anti-parasitic medicines to improve health and welfare by controlling parasitic diseases and harmful bacterial load while enhancing the individuals’ immunity.

This technique reduces the resistance of bacteria and parasites threatening health and welfare of pigs in low-input and organic outdoor production systems and subsequently improves production, reproduction and sustainability of the farm.
