Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future CLF

Type of Organization: Academia
Areas of work: Food and nutrition
Region: North America
Country: United States of America
Description:
Founded in 1996, CLF is an interdisciplinary academic center dedicated to promoting and protecting the health of all people by building a healthier, more equitable and resilient food system. Located in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, we apply a public health lens in studying the food system and utilize systems thinking in identifying and elucidating both problems and solutions. Now in its 25th year, the CLF continues to balance the scholarship of discovery with the scholarship of application in our efforts to advance the transformation of our food system to one that produces health, promotes racial and economic equity, helps meet basic needs for all people and supports well-being, protects our environment, and emboldens action to address global environmental crises including climate change.
