The Soroti Catholic Diocese Integrated Development Organization (SOCADIDO) is a faith-based organization established in 1981 with a mission to empower vulnerable households in the Teso sub-region through integrated development services. As a sister organization of the Uganda Association of Caritas and a member of Caritas Internationalis, SOCADIDO, also known as "Caritas-Soroti," has a rich history of serving the community. Registered as a National NGO, SOCADIDO operates across all 10 districts and one city in the Teso sub-region, including Amuria, Bukedea, Kaberamaido, Kalaki, Kapelebyong, Katakwi, Kumi, Ngora, Serere, Soroti, and Soroti City. SOCADIDO envisions a prosperous, self-reliant, and peaceful Teso, with a focus on enhancing the socio-economic well-being of its people. The organization implements various projects under five key strategic areas: Sustainable Livelihoods, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Integrated Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, Human Health and Nutrition, and Social Protection and Land Rights.
