The National Federation of Farmers was founded on December 8, 1995 first as the National Federation of Farmers Associations of Moldova based on the decision of the General Assembly of representatives of over 5,000 farmers and land owners from different localities of the Republic of Moldova.  In 1998 is registered as a Farmers Association with the name of the National Federation of Farmers of Moldova Vision: NFFM aspires to contribute to reduction of poverty in rural area and improvement of the general welfare of the rural population. Mission: NFFM farmers organization is oriented towards sustainable development of the rural area and towards increasing the incomes of the family farms (both men and women) Goal: NFFM aims to become a strong nongovernmental organization that will represent and defend the economic and social interests of Moldovan farmers Target group Small and medium farmers – family farms include men and women, girls and boys who earn their living from farming activities: a)equal opportunities; b) equitable distribution of incomes; c) stimulating local economies and; d) keeping rural area alive
